Introduction

Welcome to the PulseMesh documentation!

This guide is designed to help you understand and utilize PulseMesh, the innovative platform that enhances xLights and LOR displays by delivering perfectly synchronized music directly to viewers' smartphones in real-time.

What is PulseMesh?

PulseMesh is a powerful platform that enables you to send high-quality audio for your xLights and LOR based displays, directly to your audience's phones. Whether you're a homeowner showcasing your holiday spirit or a business captivating customers with a stunning light show, PulseMesh ensures that everyone can experience the perfect synchronization of lights and music.

How do I get started?

Head over to our setup guide and follow the simple step-by-step setup to get PulseMesh up and running for your display.

Also consider joining our PulseMesh Facebook group to learn about all of the latest updates.

What kinds of displays do you support today?

We currently support displays that use FPP or xSchedule as the show player. The device running FPP or xSchedule must be able to initiate connections to the internet, either over a wired or wireless connection.

Support for Light-O-Rama (LOR) is planned for mid-2025. PulseMesh may also support other platforms in the future. Please reach out if you would like another platform supported.

Are there any limitations when using PulseMesh for free?

Free users may be limited to 4 concurrent viewers depending on the load on the PulseMesh system. PulseMesh Pro, a paid offering, will be introduced later in 2025 for residential users wanting to guarantee more concurrent viewers. If you're planning to use PulseMesh for a commercial display in 2025, please reach out to us at [email protected] to discuss your needs.

How does PulseMesh work?

PulseMesh works by streaming timecodes from your FPP or xSchedule to our platform, which then synchronizes with, and transmits, the music directly to viewers’ smartphones in real-time. Our cutting-edge technology ensures near-perfect synchronization, so every effect is perfectly timed with the music, creating a cohesive and immersive experience for everyone watching.
